Since the release of his CD “When I Fall in Love,” Chris Botti has become the highest selling American instrumental artist. Moving more than 4 million albums and performing worldwide, the American musician expresses his creation through his appeal in jazz, smooth jazz and pop music. 

Grammy-winning trumpet player and composer Chris Botti will bring his tour to Shanghai, promising a “night of real entertainment.”

Born in Portland, Oregon, in 1962, Botti’s earliest musical influence was his mother, a classically trained pianist. 

He started playing the trumpet when he was 9, but really became committed at the age of 12 when he heard Miles Davis play “My Funny Valentine.”

Since the release of his CD “When I Fall in Love,” Botti has become the highest selling American instrumental artist. 

Moving more than 4 million albums and performing worldwide, the American musician expresses his creation through his appeal in jazz, smooth jazz and pop music. 

Over the past three decades, the renowned artist has recorded and performed with numerous big names in music like Barbra Streisand, Lady Gaga, Michael Bublé, John Mayer and Frank Sinatra. 

He has also collaborated with many of the finest symphonies at the world’s most prestigious venues, from Carnegie Hall to the Sydney Opera House.

Praised as “one of the most brilliant and inspiring forces of the contemporary music scene,” Botti has released 15 albums, including “A Thousand Kisses Deep,” “To Love Again: The Duets,” “Impression” and the platinum “Italia.”
