'The Time is Now' for Craig David to dazzle
After wooing Shanghai and Beijing, Craig David will take his “The Time Is Now Tour” to the UK, the Netherlands, France, Belgium and Spain.
British singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer Craig David will come to Shanghai, and he promises an evening to remember.
Born in 1981 in Southampton, England, as a teen, David began accompanying his father, a bass player, to local dance club.
Then he started doing vocals for a garage duo called Artful Dodger. The song “Re-Rewind” from the group’s album hit number two on the UK charts in 1999, paving the way for his solo career.
When David was 19, his first single, “Fill Me In,” topped the UK chart and was the first of a string of four top 10 singles from his debut album “Born to Do It,” which eventually sold more than 8 million copies worldwide and went multi-platinum in more than 20 countries.
The debut album witnessed huge success in the US, peaking at number 11 on the Billboard 200 chart, with the single “7 Days” hitting the top 10.
David has since released another 6 albums including “Sticker Than Your Average,” “Trust Me” and his latest “The Time Is Now.” So far, he has enjoyed 20 UK Top 40 singles and seven UK Top 40 albums, selling over 15 million records worldwide as a solo artist.
After wooing Shanghai and Beijing, David will take his “The Time Is Now Tour” to the UK, the Netherlands, France, Belgium and Spain.
