New variety show to discover China's most talented musicians

A new online variety show is being launched in a bid to discover the best musical talent in China. 

"CHUANG," which premiers on Youku at 8pm on March 9, has already attracted more than 100 musicians, who will perform original works. The weekly program also plans to highlight the current condition of original Chinese music.

Chinese singers Jam Hsiao, Chen Li and Jackson Wang are judges on the show. They will give expert opinion and share their musical experiences with the program’s contestants.

Tian Ming, the program’s producer, believes “CHUANG” will be more fashionable and avant-garde than other musical shows. Furthermore, it is also the first show of its kind centered on the musicians’ journey, their stories and how they will grow.
