'Avengers: Endgame' hits cinemas across China

“Avengers: Endgame” started national release from April 24, two days earlier than its screening in North America.

The film is available in an IMAX 3D version at China's 600 or so IMAX theaters to highlight its visually stunning scenes featuring the Marvel Comics characters.

Shot with an Alexa IMAX camera, it boasts better brightness, color and contrast. 

The film gathers the full cast of Marvel heroes over the past 10 years at the end of their journey.

Many movie buffs say the film is a farewell to their youth. The superheroes with their varied personalities and abilities have left them lots of wonderful memories. 

A number of enthusiasts attended a midnight screening yesterday at local theaters. Some have already watched the movie several times.

According to Maoyan, a Chinese film database and ticketing platform, the film has already made over 600 million yuan (US$89 million) at the box office on the Chinese mainland.
