"Let's Band" records the growth of Chinese bands
“Let’s Band,” China’s first music variety about the growth of bands will be aired on Youku in August.
Pop stars including Wang Feng, Li Ronghao, Amber Kuo and Bai Jugang will be the band leaders. Each of them will choose the most talented and promising ones from a total of 75 candidates to form their own bands.
The celebrities will also share their expertise and experience with the young music lovers to bravely pursue their dreams.
Different from many other musical varieties which focus on competition, the show will display varied personalities of all the band members and the distinctive functions and charms of instruments.
The show will be about youth, freedom, passion and true-self. Wang Jun, an official with Youku said that the creative young artists of the bands will also represent the future of Chinese pop music.
