Patriotic TV programs set to air during National Day holiday

Local stations are gearing up for the holiday with special shows and segments covering 70 years of history.

A variety of programs will debut on local TV screens during the National Day holiday to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

Dragon TV and News Channel will broadcast the city’s major celebration events. 

Special news reports on Shanghai’s transformation over the past seven decades, as well as stories on significant local people and brands, will also be aired.

ICS’s “Shanghai Live” program will present a five-part series on “Friends From Far Away.” The “Money Talks” will also feature stories of China's development from the perspectives of foreigners.

The Great Sports channel will present a special program entitled “Bravo 70 Years” on October 1-2. It will focus on the most important figures and glorious moments in Shanghai sports history.

Several high-quality documentaries will also be aired on Dragon TV and Documentary Channel, including “The Yangtze River,” “Made in Shanghai” and “The Legend of Pudong.”

On October 3, a program featuring the performances of foreign singers from all over the world will debut on Dragon TV. They will sing famous Chinese songs to extend their wishes for the country.
