A new legal-themed TV program called “The Front Line of Enforcement” began airing on Shanghai's News Channel on Monday.

The six-episode series is a tribute to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

The documentary-style show follows 21 difficult court cases in the city. It records the daily work and efforts of local judges and legal professionals.

These cases tackle social issues like surrogacy, neighborhood relationships and equity disposition.

The program is a collaboration between Shanghai Media Group and Shanghai Higher People’s Court. It will be broadcast on Mondays and Tuesdays this month.
