Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center will present a live talk show called “Nonstop” via online platforms Damai and Youku at 9pm on Monday.

Focusing on original plays, the program will take viewers behind the scenes of the stage.

The first episode will feature Zhang Huiqing, general manager of Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center; Tian Shui, the center’s producer and director; and Yu Rongjun, the center’s artistic director.

The trio will interact with online viewers while also having hotpot and sharing their stories.

Despite the novel coronavirus pandemic, Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center hasn't slowed down in trying to connect with the public.

In February, the center launched an online project called “Ears of Theater,” which invited actors to read articles and poems written by literati. A total of 31 episodes have been published on its official WeChat account.

In March, the center’s staff volunteered to make face masks. Around 150,000 face masks were made by them.

In April, it began to produce a play based on the real stories of medical workers from Ruijin Hospital who were sent to support Wuhan.
