The series is a love story about two young people whose careers and lives are connected over the city's development.

With 8K technology, the production boasts ultra-high-resolution images and stunning colors.

According to producer Yu Jie, the series is also a story about the city of Shanghai.

Props, costumes and makeup were carefully chosen to depict the passing decades. Many influential events such as the Shanghai World Expo 2010 Shanghai and the city’s fight against the novel coronavirus are featured.
