Talented young designers honored for creative cotton fashion
Young designers from the College of Fashion and Design at Donghua University in Shanghai displayed their new cotton works at the “Cotton Creation Era ─ Denim Creative Design Awards Ceremony” last week.
The fashion contest was co-organized by Cotton USA, Garmon Chemicals and Cottonsmith.
Organizers said the young contestants’ design works were “agile, pure, elegant and dynamic” and were able to express the multi-dimensional interpretation of cotton and its unique style.
After intense competition, eight designs were selected for “crossing barriers and breaking traditionss.”
Garmon Chemicals awarded the student with the most promising design proposal in the contest with a week of training in the Italian Job lab in Italy. Cottonsmith chose the Best Commercial Potential Award outfit for further retail and online sales.
