Charity program brings toys and joy to needy children

Needy children across China will benefit from the global charity campaign “Build to Give” by playing with blocks and receiving special block sets as gifts.

The program was initiated by the Lego Group last year, in which hospitalized children worldwide had fun building blocks. This year more Chinese children who suffer from serious diseases and are from poverty-stricken regions will benefit from the program. It will also help the country's left-behind children in rural areas.

In the following month, two flagship stores of Lego in Shanghai, one in the People's Square and the other at Shanghai Disney Resort, will invite needy children and their families to create their own works to celebrate the coming new year. Over 16,000 brick sets are expected to be donated to children in China.
