Peppa Pig is so last year! This new year, kids and parents can enjoy a fun moment with McDull, an anthropomorphic pig cartoon character created in Hong Kong.

McDull first made his appearance as a supporting character in the McMug comics strips and soon became popular in his own right.

The Place in Changning District brings you a fun-themed exhibition that not only includes engaging activities, but will make you feel like you’ve stepped off a plane in downtown Hong Kong.

You can take cool selfies in front of iconic Hong Kong buildings, landmarks, subway station gates, as well as with McDull’s family, which appeared in the cartoon movie “My Life as McDull.” You can also write down your wish for the Year of the Pig and hang it on the wish tree.

At the bumper car playground, kids and parents can take a thrilling ride. In “Springfield Flowers Kindergarten,” visitors can do some Chinese New Year paper cutting and write a couplet with the help of art teachers.

If you’re feeling smart you can try your luck on the Chinese New Year knowledge quiz. After that, you can have some fun with McDull, his classmates and his mother Mrs Mak. At the gift station, you can choose McDull toys and traditional Chinese New Year arts, crafts and calligraphy of the Chinese character fu (fortune) as presents for your loved ones.

Date: Through March 24

Venue: The Place
