The expo is a vivid example to show how fashion is infiltrating into all aspects of life.

The InfluX Shanghai Fashion Innovation Expo 2020 kicked off on Monday at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, giving a fresh boost to the fashion industry since the outbreak of coronavirus.

“The concept of ‘fashion’ is actually a multifaceted one that goes beyond the product or service itself to include issues closely related to people’s daily lives, including work, leisure, clothing, dining, housing and transportation,” said Executive Deputy Director Han Zheyu of Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Fashion. “This expo integrates fashion creativity and technological intelligence, becoming a bridge to the future of fashion that leads people to a more fashionable lifestyle.”

The 3,000-square-meter exhibition space is built with real-life scenarios such as bedrooms, living rooms and kitchens, which vividly shows the fashion brands’ new attempts to blend into people’s basic necessities of life in the fields of dining, housing, transportation and clothing.

More than 170 brands, online and offline, are showing off their new designs and wares with high-tech elements.

It displays the talented works of Top 100 Global Designers Alliance, an initiative launched by Orient International (Holding) CO., Ltd. to gather the world’s leading fashion designers to the China market, and integrate the resources of design, production, release and sales of the whole industry chain.

The expo is under the guidance of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, hosted by Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Fashion, and co-organized by Red Star Macalline Group.

Time-honored local brands such as underwear maker THREEGUN and men’s wear leader CONCH SHANGHAI have released their latest collections at the expo, while young brands YIJIA for modern urban ladies and Whitby & Sons for haute couture attract flows of potential buyers.

The expo is an example to show how fashion is infiltrating all aspects of life, when fashion elements are added to smart mobifitness products, Palm-Vein Recognition Access Gate of the artificial intelligence leader DeepBlue Technology, and Jeep’s plug-in hybrid SUV.

The expo builds a digital version of participating brands on the mobile Internet. In addition, Hongqiao Pinhui, the main platform of Hongqiao Import Commodity Exhibition and Trade Center, becomes the sub venue of the expo that will continue the fashion gala.

“Under the gloom of the global epidemic in 2020, the public cast their attention to health, artificial intelligence and ‘Otaku economy.’ This expo introduces the concept of technological fashion, immersive experience and online live broadcast, which will help us to further explore the path to build Shanghai into an international fashion city,” said Bian Xiangyang, director of Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Fashion.
