Big Bamboo on Hongfeng Road offers American and Mexican food. The first floor is a half open space with outdoor tables, while the second floor has counters and sofas. With TVs and table tennis, this is a good place for group dining and party. 

Their Jinqiao branch has an outdoor play area perfect for the little ones to blow off steam while you watch a big game. All locations have a kid’s menu with quesadillas, finger foods, and milkshakes. Its hongqiao branch also has an outdoor playground.

The restaurant has a diverse and extensive menu fusing western and Asian tastes. 

Ranging from satays, nachos, quesadillas, and burgers to a variety of pastas and salads to roast chicken and ribs, poached salmon and a fabulous flame broiled steak, this menu can satisfy everyone.

Decorated with trees, wood fences and tables, Camping Kitchen is just like a real forest, but where you can enjoy a good barbecue inside. 

The restaurant has an indoor playground in its own room, where kids can run around and work up an appetite under the protective eye of their parents. 

There are trampolines, slides and climbing-frames. Kids over 1.3 meters are not allowed to enter the playground.

Ox tongue, streaky pork, lamb kebab and ribs are among the must-tries. 

For snacks, try the seafood pancake, pickled vegetable cake and egg roll. You can also have a bibimbap or pilaf if you want some rice. Kids’ meals are also available.

As one of the world’s most distinguished global restaurant, lounge and nightlife brands, hakkasan has a striking design, tempting Cantonese cuisine and exceptional mixology and sommelier skills. 

During brunch from 11am to 3pm on weekends, the Michelin Star award-winning restaurant offers a makeshift playroom with lots of toys. A projector is also there playing classic childrens’ movies such as “Kungfu Panda.”

Cod with champagne and Chinese honey, crispy duck salad and jasmine tea smoked Wagyu tenderloin are among the must-tries.

Brunch on the Bund

This restaurant has a great view of the Bund. It seats 40 to 45 inside and up to 80 on its terrace during the warmer months. 

With natural soft earthy tones and some great colorful artworks, the restaurant is suitable for a date, business or group gatherings.

On the rooftop terrace, there is a play area. A trampoline there is the best choice for kids over three, while younger ones can also play if they are supervised. 

Prawn tostadas with passionfruit and tamarind salsa, guacamole and habanero, the bacon and blue cheese quesadilla with sour cream and the mango and avocado salad are must-tries. 

The restaurant also rotates weekly items like soups, tacos and home-made ice creams.

The French restaurant, Must, is hidden in a creative park in Jing’an District. With dim lighting and gentle music, the atmosphere is full of romance. 

The restaurant has a nice casual patio and is a place that loves kids. It is kid-friendly all week, with toys and coloring sheets ready to be whipped out at any time. There is also an area just next to the patio for a bouncy house castle. The castle is usually available on weekends. 

The restaurant features burgers and wine. Steaks and beers are also worth trying. Kids’ meals are also available.
