Singapore Tourism Board launch to attract more Chinese visitors
Singapore Tourism Board, Changi Airport and Sentosa Development Corporation have launched a joint promotion campaign to attract more Chinese tourists.
The tourism board has released its new brand theme entitled "Passion Made Possible" to lure Chinese travelers, which has become the largest tourist source country to Singapore.
The promotion board has designed different routes for gourmets, shopping lovers and adventure enthusiasts among several others.
The board and Sentosa Development Corporation have also allowed travelers to pay with Alipay and issued a series of discount offers.
Furthermore, Changi Airport is to launch a new complex next year called Jewel Changi Airport, which includes shopping, dining and accommodation and a scenery garden.
An airport spokesperson said the new attraction would allure more Chinese tourists to explore Singapore. The tourism board has also prepared a number of shopping and cultural events, such as Design Orchard and Rainforest Lumina planned next year.
Over 2.7 million tourists from the Chinese mainland have visited Singapore between January and September 2018, a 9 percent increase on last year, according to the board.
