Tourists booked through Shanghai agencies affected by Sichuan quake all A-OK

About 5,000 tourists who booked their travel through Shanghai travel agencies were in Jiuzhaigou area when last night's 7.0 quake struck, from which no casualties have been reported so far, the Shanghai Tourism Administration said on Wednesday.

Their travel was organized by agencies including Ctrip, Lumama, Shanghai Spring Tours, Shanghai Airlines Holiday and China Youth Travel Service Shanghai, according to the administration.

The administration has ordered Shanghai travel agencies to take good care of tourists still in the area. It will closely follow the situation and coordinate with the relevant travel agencies to change schedules and ensure a safe return of those tourists affected.
