Romance amid a sea of fresh lavender
Don’t miss the chance to spend a romantic evening in a sea of fragrant lavender and more than 30 other herbs and flowers at the Lavender and Egret Love Park on Chongming Island.
The park’s Lavender Festival runs through June 30 and is a great opportunity for a romantic date.
Over an area of 800 hectares, the park features a Love Valley, Dreaming Land, Wish Fairy and Yuelao (God of Love) Bridge. A total of 680 hectares are covered in lavender and herbs like sweet basil and rosemary.
The park hosts activities like a family day, a food carnival, sports and live music events.
You can also prepare your own lavender soup and make lavender essence oil.
At night, the campfire party and barbecue promise fun with a laser show and a DJ. There is also a charity marathon and a photography contest.
