PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai to open in September
The 4th annual PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai will open next month at the Shanghai Exhibition Center, featuring photographs from 14 countries and regions.
PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai is a prominent event on the AsiaPacific calendar, specializing in cutting-edge modern photography.
Works by top Chinese artists like Zeng Fanzhi and Zhang Hai’er will be exhibited, along with new Chinese talent like Fan Xi and Peng Yun. Robert Mapplethorpe and Henri Cartier Bresson will be among the international photographers with works on display.
This year’s fair will explore the relationship between photography and other art forms. Another highlight is the public debut of works held by private collectors, including photographs by Wolfgang Tillmans, Cindy Sherman and Araki Nobuyoshi.
