Disney fast pass to become easier via official app

Visitors to Shanghai Disney Resort will be able to book fast access to attractions on their mobile phones for free, the resort announced today.

Customers will no longer need to stand in queues to obtain Disney Fastpass tickets or dash to booking sites right after entering the theme park.

The digital platform will be officially launched this fall. Visitors need to download the latest version of the resort's official app.

After entering the theme park, guests can associate their activated ticket with the app, and then follow the instructions to view, select and reserve a digital fast pass. 

At the entrance of their selected attractions, they can present the QR code on their device or entrance ticket for scanning.

Disney cast members will validate the photo identification with the guests’ park ticket.

Guests will continue to have the option of obtaining a fast pass ticket at kiosks in each Guest Services location, just as they do now, according to the resort.
