Railway ticketing suspended due to Typhoon Talim
Shanghai Railway Bureau suspended ticket sales of 56 train services scheduled to leave the Yangtze River area on Thursday (September 14) due to Typhoon Talim.
The affected train services, mainly heading for southern China, include 26 leaving from Shanghai. The authority will decide when to resume ticketing based on the development of the typhoon, it said on Monday.
Typhoon Talim is expected to hit coastal areas from southern China's Fujian province through to eastern China's Zhejiang Province from Thursday night to Friday morning, the National Meteorological Center of China said on Tuesday.
