Shanghai Party Secretary Han Zheng met with Vietnam News Agency Director General Nguyen Duc Loi and his Communist Party delegation on Monday.

Han briefed his guests on Shanghai’s social and economic development and China’s all-out efforts on internal Party management. He said the delegation visit consolidated the relationship between the Party, State, and people of the two nations.

Han said that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, with President Xi Jinping as the core, the CPC Central Committee had made a series of well-received major deployments.

The more advanced the economy gets, the better people’s lives become and the more that strict disciplines should be adapted within the Party, Han added. Shanghai has tightened its inner Party management and introduced policies in line with the Central Committee’s deployment.

Han hoped China and Vietnam could share Party building experiences and strengthen industry cooperation.

Nguyen congratulated Shanghai on its great development. He said the visit would help build consensus between the two countries and Vietnam could learn from the CPC's experience in building the party and political system.

Nguyen hoped the two nations could further develop their cooperation between the Party and industries.

Zhuge Yujie, secretary general of the CPC Shanghai Committee, also attended the meeting.
