Residents are warned to brace for rain
Rain will hit Shanghai in the middle of the week, forecasters said.
The high temperature is set to remain at 30 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. But intermittent showers are expected to hit the city later in the day and to bring more cool weather to the city on Wednesday, according to Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.
Wednesday will be wet all day, with the mercury falling dramatically to fluctuate between 21 and 24 degrees.
The rain will gradually stop by late Thursday. Friday is forecast to be cloudy and overcast, with temperatures starting to climb a little to 26 degrees. However, after just a short break, the rain will return over the weekend.
