Shanghai welcomes Missouri delegation

Shanghai Party Secretary Han Zheng welcomed the U.S. State Governor of Missouri, Eric Greitens, and his delegation on Wednesday.


Shanghai Party Secretary Han Zheng welcomed the U.S. State Governor of Missouri, Eric Greitens, and his delegation on behalf of the CPC Shanghai Committee and Shanghai Municipal Government on Wednesday.

Han said Shanghai is striving to provide a better life for its 24 million citizens and further its reforms and innovation in accordance with the CPC Central Committee’s direction.

Shanghai has twin-city links with San Francisco, Chicago, and Huston, Han added, and collaborations with the cities in trade and other industries. Many American companies are doing business in Shanghai and have witnessed the city’s reforms.

Han expressed hope for further Shanghai cooperation with Missouri in economy and trade.

Greitens said Shanghai’s achievements have been impressive. He would like to further cooperate and exchange with Shanghai in trade, investment, education, and cultural industries.

He hoped more Shanghai companies would come to Missouri.

Zhuge Yujie, the CPC Shanghai Committee secretary-general, also attended the meeting.
