Shanghai universities to recruit top talents in US

The Shanghai Education Commission announced Friday that it will lead 12 Shanghai universities to US to hold three recruitment fairs from October 21 to 23 in seek of global talents.

The commission said as Shanghai has increasingly become an international center of technical innovation, economy, finance, trade, and transportation, local universities are also striving to build themselves into world-class institutions with world-class disciplines.

The three job fairs will be held at Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University.

The employers include some of the most prestigious universities in the city, such as Fudan University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Applicants of all ages and research fields are welcomed with priority given to leading scholars and research teams, qualified young scholars, doctors and post-doctors from renowned universities or research institutes.

The employers will provide them with promising working and living conditions in China, including internationally competitive salary package, abundant research fund and full support in research, as well as medical insurance and other benefits.

Help is also available in children’s school enrollment, job opportunities for spouse.

Anyone interested in the fairs now can submit their resumes to both the target institution by email and the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission.
