Vocational school students awarded at micro film festival

The Shanghai Grand Theater saw a special groups of “stars” on Friday as awarding ceremony of the first micro film festival for secondary vocational school students in the city was held.

The festival was originally a campus activity at the Shanghai Public Utility School and began to invite students from all secondary vocational schools to participate.

It received 70 films from 49 schools and 23 of them won prizes eventually, while I Am a Firefighter produced by students from the Shanghai Qunxing Vocational School turned out to be the biggest winner with a special jury award and the award of viewers’ choice. It tells a story about how a secondary vocational school students joined the army and became a firefighter with passion and sense of responsibility.

Wang Zhiwei, headmaster of the Shanghai Public Utility School, said the films showed stories that happened in study and internships of students and reflected their perceptions about technical learning and the spirit of craftsmen.
