Chengdu Airlines gets 3rd ARJ21-700 regional jet
The third ARJ21 domestically made regional passenger jet was delivered in Dongying in east Shandong Province to Chengdu Airlines.
The third domestically made ARJ21-700 regional passenger jet was delivered to Chengdu Airlines today, approaching to its mass production.
The twin-engine jet has 90 seats in an all-economy configuration, its manufacturer, Commercial Aircraft Corp of China said.
The jet was purchased by Shanghai-based China Aerospace Leasing Company Ltd and leased to Chengdu Airlines.
COMAC plans to deliver at least five ARJ21s to customers by the end of 2017. The aircraft has secured 433 orders from 20 customers.
The first ARJ21, delivered to Chengdu Airlines on June 28, 2016, has flown over 25,000 passengers mainly between Shanghai and Chengdu.
