Scary celebrations at Happy Valley's Halloween festival

The Shanghai Happy Valley in Songjiang District is ready to scare visitors by hosting a happy Halloween festival.

There are 11 ghost houses taking visitors on survival adventures to different places such as snow mountain, forest, hospital and underground palace.

Cosplay competitions will be held and visitors can take on Halloween makeup upon entering the amusement park. More than 400 performers acting as "ghosts" will wander on the streets and interact with visitors.

Street dances and heavy percussion music performance will be staged.

The festival will run through November 12 and the park will open till 9:30pm during the Halloween season.
