EIGHT of the paddlers competing on the Suzhou Creek this month visited Pengpuxincun No. 1 Primary School to teach students canoeing skills.

They are among nearly 200 canoe athletes, from more than 10 countries such as the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, who are taking part in a world-class competition held on Suzhou Creek.

Yu Biao, director of Jing’an Sports Bureau, said: “We not only want to provide the public access to the top athletes and games, but also aim to trigger a wide passion over sports.”
