Yin meets US consul general in Shanghai

Yin Yicui, chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai People’s Congress, met Sean Stein, the US consul general in Shanghai, and his delegation yesterday.

Yin briefed the guests on the structure and main functions of the SPC Standing Committee. She said Shanghai is striving to play the role of a bridgehead in reforms and innovation in the country.

Also, Shanghai and several American major cities have had extensive collaborations in trade, cultural industries and education, Yin added. She hoped that the bi-lateral tie and collaborations can be further strengthened.

Stein said the US will further the cooperation and exchange in investment, trade, and talents exchange programs between Shanghai and major cities of the US.
