Kaifeng chamber of commerce set up

A commerce chamber was set up in Shanghai on Wednesday for entrepreneurs from Kaifeng City in Henan Province to enhance their connection and promote cooperation between Kaifeng and Shanghai.

Li Yanping, president of Elite Education Group, became the first chairwoman of the chamber.

She said the organization had attracted more than 110 member enterprises in the past two years of preparatory period, covering industries including culture, education, finance, trade, manufacturing, Internet, health and service.

The chamber will be dedicated to connecting economy in Shanghai and Kaifeng to integrate resources and building up a bigger platform for development of its member enterprises, making contributions to the development of the two cities, she added.

Authorities of the Kaifeng City also introduced its business environment to the entrepreneurs, including the new pilot free trade zone in Henan at the chamber's founding ceremony.
