Baby massage promotes health and closer connection
Parents of 24 babies aged between two and four months participated in a baby massage contest launched by Putuo District Maternity and Child Health Hospital yesterday.
Baby massage can not only improve children's growth, but also boost the emotional bond between baby and parents, benefiting them physically and psychologically, experts said.
To help young local parents have smooth pregnancies and newborn raising, the hospital teamed up with Shanghai Children's Hospital and Shanghai Normal University in March to launch a charity program offering guidance and support to families on pregnancy and baby caring.
