Exit-entry document service to be suspended for 4 days
Exit-entry document services in Shanghai will be suspended from December 22 to 25 due to updating of the exit-entry administration information system, Shanghai police announced on Friday.
During the four days, services at the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau’s headquarters and branches, self-service spots, website and WeChat platforms will all be suspended.
All services will resume on December 26.
The updating of the system is in accordance with the arrangement of the Ministry of Public Security, police said.
For foreigners whose visa or residence permit is to expire on those dates, police allow them to seek services from the exit-entry administration offices on December 26.
For those in urgent needs of certain exit-entry documents, they can submit an application before December 22 or on December 26. Police said they will make sure to issue them the needed documents as soon as possible.
Police remind that during the four days documents ready to be issued also won’t be available, so applicants should come to fetch them only on December 26 or later.
