Zhejiang's tourism riches showcased at Hongqiao railway station
A variety of intangible cultural heritage performances and exhibitions are hosted at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to promote tour destinations in neighboring Zhejiang Province as part of a high-speed railway tourism carnival.
The performances such as traditional lion dances originating from the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) and folk opera of Chun'an County attract many passengers. Zheijiang also holds interactive activities and lucky draws to give away tourism souvenirs and holidays in the province, which boasts beautiful scenery and holiday spots.
The event hosted by Zhejiang Tourism Administration and Shanghai branch of China Railway runs through January 16 and is held at the departure floor of the station ahead of the Chinese Lunar New Year.
The province's tourist destinations showcased during the event include Lishui, Zhangzhou, Zhoushan, Wenzhou and Jinhua. Zhejiang received more than 21 million tourists during the week-long lunar New Year holiday last year.
