Shanghai Daily wins city's top media awards

Shanghai Daily won three "Silver Dove" awards, the city's top media prizes granted biennially. The awards were in recognition of Shanghai Daily's brand and reporting quality.

Shanghai Daily has won three media prizes in this year's "Silver Dove Awards," the city's highest honor for media organizations targeting foreign readership and audiences, which is granted on a biennial basis. 

Shanghai Daily won two first prizes and one second prize in this year's "Silver Dove Awards." It won the first prize in the publishing category as a newspaper. Shanghai Daily's "Corporate Innovation and Social Responsibility Summit" also won the first prize in the program category.

Its news story "‘Science City’ to take Shanghai far into the future,” which was published in the Los Angeles Times on May 31, won the second prize in news reporting. The award-winning story was about the Shanghai’s plan to build a science city in Zhangjiang.

The prizes were in high recognition of Shanghai Daily’s brand strength, and quality, as well as its influence in foreign readership-oriented publishing.

Shanghai Daily was established in October 1999 and is now a leading English-language newspaper in China with its readership from all over the world.
