Man arrested for organizing prostitution
A man suspected of procuring three women to sell sex 242 times in two weeks has been arrested, according to Jinshan District prosecutors.
The suspect, surnamed Wan, said he befriended three prostitutes, via friends, last year. He solicited clients via popular online chatting app WeChat, and then arranged sex services in a rented room of an office building in Jinshan.
Prosecutors said over half a month, Wan organized 242 deals and earned 48,400 yuan (US$7,718).
His network was busted on December 5, 2017, after police received a tip-off. Wan, three prostitutes and five clients were caught at the scene.
