A three-day international fruit and vegetable exhibition will kick off in Putuo District in May, bringing fresh and tasty fruit, vegetables and nuts to Shanghai from 18 countries.

China Fruit Logistica will take place between May 14 and 16 at the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Center of International Sourcing. 

Exhibitors from 18 countries including Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Mexico, Turkey, the United States, Mexico, Malaysia and Japan will showcase a variety of fruits like avocado, pineapple, coconut and juice at the event.

Ecuador hopes to introduce a banana known for its size and sweet taste, mango, and rare yellow dragon fruit to the Chinese people during the event, Diego Vega, chief commercial officer at the Consulate General of Ecuador in Shanghai said.

Agricultural products and advanced technologies will also be displayed at the trade show for fresh produce business, which will gather wholesalers, importers, exporters, producers and service suppliers.

Experts from around the world will share insights into China's fruit and vegetable industry development and trends, and how to develop domestic quality standards in China, among other topics, in forums and conferences during the event.
