Qinghai Province promotes tourism in Shanghai
The Qinghai tourism promotion week kicked off in Xuhui District today, featuring cultural performances of Qinghai flavor, display of local handicrafts, photo show and lucky draws.
Free admission to tourist attractions in the northwestern province of Qinghai with a total value of about 300,000 yuan (US$46,153) is offered at the scene by the Qinghai Provincial Commission of Tourism Development, and gifts including Qinghai specialty and souvenir are distributed.

Five driving tour itineraries crossing places like Qilian Mountains and Tangbo ancient route are introduced during the event.
Shanghai and Qinghai have huge potentials for tourism cooperation, said Ding Zhenwen, deputy director of the Shanghai Tourism Administration. The event displays the rich diversity of Qinghai landscapes and its unique culture and customs, said officials with the Qinghai Provincial Commission of Tourism Development.

Qinghai lying on the northeast of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau boasts breathtaking and magnificent natural scenery and splendid culture and history.
It is home to a rich diversity of scenic spots and historical sites including the Qinghai Lake, China's largest saltwater lake, Kumbum Monastery, Beishan National Forest Park, Kekexili, a nature reserve known as one of the last remaining habitats for Tibetan antelope and wild yak, Qilian Mountains nature reserve and Chaka Salt Lake.
