Visitors look at a painting about ancient Chinese myths on Sunday at  Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy. As part of the campaign entitled “Creating the World – Literary and Artistic Works on Chinese Creation Myths” to revive ancient Chinese myths, the first batch of 50 large-scale paintings, varying from canvas and ink-wash paintings to sculpture and lacquer paintings, have been completed and are now on display at the academy. Last summer, nearly 30 comic books on Chinese myths created by a group of local artists were also published.
