Shanghai will offer discounted tickets at 65 tourist spots in the city on Saturday to mark China Tourism Day.

Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the 88th-floor sightseeing observatory at Shanghai Jinmao Tower, Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, Shanghai Tower, Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, Shanghai Jinjiang Amusement Park and Shanghai Ocean Aquarium are in the list of scenic spots that will offer half price tickets to visitors on Saturday, the Shanghai Tourism Administration said yesterday.

Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden, Shanghai Gongqing Forest Park, Shanghai Zoo, Shanghai Guyi Garden, Shanghai Gucun Park, Shanghai Wild Animal Park, and watertowns like Fengjing and Zhujiajiao will also offer discounted tickets.

Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, Shanghai Natural History Museum and Shanghai Film Museum, the former residences of famous people like Dr Sun Yat-sen and Lu Xun are also on the list.

The Shanghai Disney Resort is offering a two-day discounted tickets on its WeChat platform on Saturday and Sunday. 

Half price tickets are also available for sightseeing cruise on the Huangpu River from 11am to 5pm. The boats will start from the Shiliupu Dock at 481 Zhongshan Road E2. 

Shanghai’s tourism authorities have warned of long queues and some restrictions may be in place to manage the crowd.
