Technical innovation has been improving Yexie Town’s agriculture layout, while efforts are being made to spread the town’s filial culture through the art of film and blend the eco-resources to its tourism industry.

The biggest town in terms of size and population in Songjiang District, Yexie is endeavoring to push forward a rural revitalization strategy and transform itself into a green development pilot zone.

One of the plans to promote rural revitalization in Yexie is technical renovation. Authorities in the town are exploring a way that integrates agriculture development with technical renovation.

A China Agriculture Smart Valley project, initiated in January, may positively affect the supply pattern of the town’s agricultural products.

The traditional way will be replaced by a field-to-table fast lane thanks to cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence and other technologies.

According to the deal, the project will collect capital and information resources from 50 to 100 agriculture product logistics parks, making it possible for Yexie to become Alibaba in the agri-product logistics industry.

Alibaba is the world’s biggest online B2B marketplace headquartered in Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province.

A garden party promoting filial culture took place at Jizhong Film & Video Base in Yexie at the end of March as part of a plan to build the town into a filial culture demonstration place.

The base covers an area of more than 7,000 square kilometers and has support facilities ideal for filmmaking such as ancient streets, quadrangle dwellings, complexes from the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, the scenery of Jiangnan (the south of Yangtze River), film studios, hotels and canteens.

Rural tourism also plays a big role in Yexie’s economic development. A piece of land covering 1,000 mu (66.7 hectare) in Dongle Village has been granted permission for the Yuhai Farm park.

The Phase One project of 20 items is expected to near its completion by October this year. The project is a key rural tourism scenic project in Yexie. The park, together with Zhuting Road Countryside Park Equestrian Club and Golden Osmanthus Garden’s “Cricket Kingdom,” will gradually form a tourism center in the town.
