Roll up, roll up for festival tickets

Tickets for the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival will go on sale at 8am on June 9.

Group and individual tickets can be purchased at dianying.taobao.com. Alipay will provide easy ticket purchasing for mobile users.

Tickets will also be sold at 45 cinemas around the city, including the Shanghai Film Art Center, Peace Cinema and Cathay Theater, where sales will start at around 10am.

The festival runs from June 16 to 25. Several hundred movies will be screened, including both classic films and recent works from around the world.

On the screening list are Japanese suspense film “Laplace’s Witch,” which is based on a novel by Higashino Keigo, the “Predator” film series, a restored 4K edition of the 1967 romantic comedy-drama film “The Graduate” and works from the late Chinese film master Xie Jin.
