'Amazing Shanghai' entices more to attend import expo

The Shanghai government promoted the upcoming China International Import Expo at the ongoing International Business Festival in Liverpool, hoping to attract more foreign enterprises to join up.

Over 1,700 enterprises from more than 120 countries and regions have signed contracts to take part in the first ever import expo to be held in Shanghai this November, according to Shanghai Vice Mayor Xu Kunlin.

Xu made the remarks when updating British politicians and businessmen about the progress of the import expo at the festival in Liverpool on June 12.

Themed “Amazing Shanghai,” the promotions also highlighted Shanghai’s business environment and technological innovations.
