Online novelists support future film production
Famous online novelists of the country pitched their latest literature works on Sunday at the Internet Summit of 2018 Shanghai International Film and TV Festival.
Outstanding entries will have chance to be developed into mega-productions of film and series in the near future.
Piao Qi, a contracted novelist of Alibaba•Literature, revealed that he is working of a military fantasy trilogy. The heroic novels will combine Chinese mythology with sci-fi discoveries.
Industry professionals noted that original novel creation is an important part of the entertainment industrial chain that also includes film and series, game, and other spin-offs.
Alibaba•Literature also announced to set up an expert advisory team to share with the novelists their expertise in writing novels which are appropriate for film and TV adaptation. The team will offer the writers supports from the very beginning of story conception.
