Man kills 2 boys and injures 2 others in Shanghai

Two boys were killed and another boy injured by a man with a kitchen knife on Pubei Road near Guilin Street W. in Xuhui District about 11:30am on Thursday, Shanghai police said.

A woman who is a parent was also injured, but both the woman and the injured boy are not in critical condition, according to the police.

Police immediately rushed to the scene.

The suspect, who was subdued by the police and passers-by, is a 29-year-old man surnamed Huang who came to Shanghai at the beginning of this month, police said.

Huang allegedly said he wanted to “retaliate the society” because he had no job.

Police said investigation is still under way.

Prosecutors of the No.1 Branch of Shanghai People's Procuratorate and Xuhui District People's Procuratorate have joined the investigation.
