As part of the events for the upcoming 20th Shanghai International Arts Festival, “Unlimited Brush Public Art Campaign for Students” kicked off on June 29 at World Expo Museum.

Spanning half a year, the project covers local primary and middle schools, as well as universities and colleges, and aims to inspire the creativity and imagination of local students through various art forms, such as sketch, ink-wash painting, sculpture, installation and multimedia.

According to the organizers, the theme of the project is “City, People, Imagination and Future.”

Different places will become the “canvas in life,” for example, the walls at schools, the abandoned pipes, the sewer cover and the public greenery.

Art experts will be invited to give workshops on campuses so that they can help the students with their artworks. These experts will also judge these works for the  final awards in the future.
