Shanghai Higher People’s Court and East China University of Political Science and Law on Friday set up an education and practice center to train students studying law or journalism to work for the publicity department of the court.

Students who are selected to join in the program will learn how to write legal news and how to raise the public awareness of law from senior publicity personnel at courts across the city.

“It is a new yet good try. We will build it to a research institute to solve new challenges and foster publicity personnel,” said Lu Weimin, director of the politics department of the court.
