The Indian Consulate General in Shanghai is calling for enthusiasts of Indian culture to drop in at the Grand Millennium Shanghai Hotel on September 1 to enjoy an “Indian carnival."

At the hotel, from 10am to 6pm, visitors can learn and practice yoga with masters, be introduced to various Indian musical instruments and dances, and taste authentic Indian food.

Visitors are also invited to appreciate traditional Indian art such as hand painting and other handicrafts.

As if that wasn't enough, a lucky draw will see someone jetting off to India for a free holiday.

Those interested can scan the QR code in the picture below to read the full program of the day and sign up by entering their name, mobile phone and a time period during which they wish to attend the event.

The consulate general said all visits to the event are free of charge.
