Man caught after attacking 2 coffee house workers with a knife
A man was caught on the scene after attacking two workers at a coffee house in downtown Shanghai with a knife on Monday evening, police said.
The incident took place at a coffee house near the crossroads of Nanjing Road W. and Huangpi Road N. at 7:55pm on Monday.
The suspect, a 45-year-old man surnamed Jing, allegedly injured two workers with a folding fruit knife after he had a disagreement with staff.
Police said they arrived on the scene after receiving a report that someone injured others with a knife in front of the coffee house, and caught the suspect on the spot.
The workers were later treated at a hospital and were not critically injured, police said.
Investigation is still underway.
