Social federation turns 2

The Federation of Social Organizations of Changshou Sub-district in Putuo District celebrated its second anniversary at the sub-district’s social organization service center on September 13.

The federation was set up on June 28, 2016, becoming the first federation of social organizations at sub-district level in Shanghai. In 2015 there were 102 social organizations in Changshou Sub-district. There are now 170 social organizations.

In 2017, three projects in the Changshou Sub-district were among Shanghai’s top 10 public service awards.

The federation launched an online public service application during the anniversary celebration. 

With the online public service app, social organizations can publicize their public service activities and local residential communities and sub-district organizations can outline their government procurement projects.

With the online B2B platform, social organizations and government departments can contact each other, make deals and clients can rate services.

Social organizations can also reserve venues for public events and recruit volunteers online.
