A painting sending the message of a harmonious family

A painting and calligraphy exhibition promoting good virtue and civility in Chinese families kicked off today at the Shanghai Library.

The exhibition displays 16 photos, 34 comic paintings and 45 calligraphy works by local artists. They showcase traditional family values featuring love for each other, being nice and kind, and mutual growth and sharing.

The exhibition, held on the first floor of the library and free of charge, will last until Monday next week.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said traditional family values are engraved on the minds and melted into the blood of the Chinese people, and they act as an important foundation for the country’s development and social harmony.
